Dev Senior Developer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer to join our team, with a strong background in Python development and a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions. As a Senior Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our software applications, leveraging your expertise in Python to drive innovation and excellence. With a minimum of 5 years of experience in Python development, you will be responsible for leading projects, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to the growth and success of our organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test software applications using Python, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and efficient code that meets our organization's standards and requirements.
• Lead projects from conception to delivery, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify requirements, develop solutions, and implement best practices.
• Collaborate with junior developers to provide guidance, mentorship, and feedback, helping to improve their skills and knowledge of Python and software development methodologies.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring that all code is thoroughly tested, documented, and adheres to our organization's coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, using your expertise in Python and software development to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Python and related technologies, applying this knowledge to improve our software applications and stay ahead of the curve.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, guides, and release notes, to ensure that our software applications are well-documented and easy to use.
• Collaborate with our quality assurance team to identify and prioritize testing requirements, ensuring that our software applications meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
• Contribute to the development of our organization's technical strategy, providing input and guidance on the use of Python and other technologies to drive innovation and growth.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Python development, with a strong portfolio of projects and a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Python programming language, including syntax, semantics, and best practices for development, testing, and deployment.
• Experience with popular Python frameworks and libraries, such as Django, Flask, and NumPy, and the ability to apply this knowledge to real-world problems.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall, and the ability to apply these methodologies in a practical context.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and project managers.
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git, and the ability to use these systems to manage code repositories and collaborate with other developers.
• Strong understanding of database concepts, including data modeling, database design, and query optimization, and the ability to apply this knowledge to real-world problems.
• Experience with cloud-based platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and the ability to deploy and manage Python applications in a cloud-based environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence, including popular libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow and scikit-learn.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, and continuous monitoring, and the ability to apply these practices to improve the efficiency and reliability of our software applications.
• Experience with containerization, including Docker, and the ability to use containers to deploy and manage Python applications in a scalable and efficient manner.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices, including secure coding, secure testing, and secure deployment, and the ability to apply these practices to protect our software applications from security threats.
